Where BESS projects live or die.
Most battery projects don't fail at the technology. They fail in the interfaces: grid, land, contracts and commissioning. That's exactly where we sit.
Grid strategy & Gate 2
Schedule-critical grid milestones identified, delivery and dependency risks assessed, and practical strategies set for managing uncertainty, so programme and capex assumptions stay credible. NGESO, DNO, ICP and IDNO interfaces structured and tracked.
Due diligence
Buy-side technical DD covering grid position, programme credibility, capex assumptions, contracting strategy and deliverability risks, so investment decisions are based on reality, not optimism.
EPC & contracting
Tender processes run for comparability; contract strategy across EPC, EPCM and hybrid structures; the terms that protect outcomes negotiated hard: LDs, milestones, acceptance testing, securities, change control and step-in.
Owner-side delivery
Client representation, Principal Designer or Principal Contractor capability, construction management, HSQE, change control and progress verification. Principal Contractor appointments remain subject to project scope, risk and insurance approval.
Commissioning & COD
Commissioning governance, test planning, readiness reviews and performance testing oversight: acceptance criteria met and evidenced for handover and commercial close-out.
Operate & improve
Monitoring, planned and reactive maintenance coordination, 24/7 support, warranty and LTSA oversight, performance reviews, reporting and continuous automation.
Grid & power infrastructure
DNO and IDNO management, substation and contestable-works interfaces, approvals and programme control. Physical substation installation is delivered by the appointed specialist contractor.
Hybrid & micro data centres
Hybrid solar/BESS and micro AI data-centre power infrastructure: feasibility, energy strategy, interfaces, procurement and delivery integration.
Skin in the game.
478 MW in GridLogix origination
Three UK BESS sites currently in negotiation for exclusivity as part of the GridLogix origination pipeline.
On-site UK BESS commissioning support
On-site representation and technical commissioning support for a live UK battery storage project, holding interfaces, evidence and readiness close to the work.
Asked often, answered straight.
Can you help with grid risk assessment and connection strategy?
Yes. We identify schedule-critical grid milestones, assess delivery and dependency risks, and set practical strategies for managing uncertainty so your programme and capex assumptions remain credible.
Do you support NGESO interface requirements?
Yes, where the project requires NGESO-facing processes or compliance (depending on voltage level and connection arrangement). We help ensure technical submissions, programme assumptions and responsibilities are clear and tracked.
Can you advise on securities (PCGs, bonds, guarantees)?
Yes. We help define the right security instruments and amounts for the risk profile, then make sure the triggers, reductions and release mechanics match real delivery milestones without creating unnecessary commercial friction.
What battery technologies and system architectures do you work with?
We work across common utility-scale BESS configurations, typically integrating OEM packages with balance-of-plant, civils and grid works. Our focus is bankability, deliverability and performance outcomes rather than a single preferred OEM.
